Les paroles d'artistes tels que Bernard Adamus, Lisa Leblanc et Québec Redneck Bluegrass Project représentent-elles l'argot, la prononciation, etc. québécois et acadien? Ou sont-ils exagérés pour effet. Quand j'entends les Canadiens français sur YouTube et à la télévision, ils semblent imiter beaucoup plus le français parisien, mais j'aime beaucoup le son d'Adamus et du reste.

Or are they exaggerated for effect. When I hear French Canadians on YouTube and TV, they seem to imitate Parisian French much more, but I really like the sound of Adamus and the rest better.

I recommend you to use tandem, there are many Canadians, I guess the ones from here aren't really interest at replying to you aha, but I can assure that tandem is the best app ever

I think they are a bit exaggerated, but not much. There’s also some people that speak like that (especially older people), but not a lot. We have a different accent than the Parisian French, but it’s still not exactly like in Quebec’s music. We tend to use a style of French a bit older in our songs, but I don’t know why. As for the Acadian French, I don’t know, haven’t really heard it before

@Athenais6315 so if I try to imitate that accent I’d probably sound old-fashioned? Or just plain weird? I definitely prefer the Quebec accent to the Parisian accent

I think that you would maybe not sound plain weird, but it would be a bit different and people would notice it

Lisa Leblanc style is more like country and very slangny. If you want some more accurate Quebec French-Canadian accent go for MesAieux, the group use slightly older vocabulary than normally but at least the accents is not exaggerated.
