Pergunta sobre Inglês (EUA)
May I have a question?
Do you say "This has been it for today."?
I've only heard "This is it." or "That's it." in this sense, so I'm wondering if it's also a common to say the sentence.

I agree with the other two answers as well.
"This has been it" is very unnatural, although it might seem to be correct.
Perhaps you are thinking:
The "it" (contents of my speech) has been said in the past, so "has been" must be correct.
However, "That's it" has become a colloquial expression, meaning "Now, we ARE done."

Could you be more clear about the situation?
At the end of a task, to express "We are finished.":
"That's it."
If the task is NOT finished, and will continue in the future, to express "Today's part of the task is finished":
"That's it for today."
or
"That's all for today."

No, it's not common to say "this has been it for today."

“That’s it for today” is the most natural. “This has been it for today” sounds unnatural to me because “has been” implies something continual (so it isn’t done yet) while “it” in this context means you’re finished with something.

@coachjeff Thank you for your answer! The situation in my mind was what you say at the end of your speech or explanation about something.
The one you mentioned for me is also the case. Do you think it's common to say "This has been it for today." in these situations?
