I’d say it’s a pretty common word. Whenever something/someone irritates you, you can call it obnoxious, especially if someone’s being obnoxiously loud or unreasonable.

Could I ask one more question?
Is there any difference between obnoxious, unpleasant and disagreeable?

Obnoxious is more about things that are annoying. An unpleasant situation is uncomfortable or unenjoyable without being annoying/irritating. Disagreeable isn’t a word I hear used very often, but it means that someone isn’t cooperating and is being intentionally stubborn or unpleasant. It can also mean someone is in a bad mood where everything they say is mean or unpleasant. A disagreeable person can be obnoxious if their constant negative remarks become something that really irritates you.

Annoying isn’t as strong as obnoxious. If he’s obnoxious, he’s REALLY annoying.

RespostaHonestly, no. But English is malleable, and if you wish to use it, by all means. I wouldn't necessarily find it "weird,"just not widely used.
