Pergunta sobre ESTADOS UNIDOS
Is the 'N' word still that dangerous? I think or at least I've seen on YouTube that a lot of white people or Mexicans use it among them.

@ErickLeguizamo well I wouldn’t recommend using it and when white or Mexicans use it, it’s usually because they don’t care or they are friends with people that are okay with them using that word but if you use it I can’t promise that it won’t get you in trouble. Personally I don’t use that word but like I said it depends on the person you are

still very unideal for one to say if they’re not black. while mexicans and whites say it, they shouldn’t. it’s still a slur and most of the black community doesn’t like others saying it. some people have lost their job over using it, or gotten beaten up. even as a mixed girl who identifies more as black, i don’t prefer to use it and find it in poor taste when others do, especially if they’re not black.

The N word is still very disrespectful to use when speaking to a person of color. Due to its degrading origins. Think of it like this, if you have a sibling you can call them whatever you want 'stupid, dumb, idiot, bitch, etc..' but if someone else did that same thing to your sibling it would be very disrespectful and offensive. A good rule to follow is - do not say it unless you apart of that community. I cannot stress this enough! The same rules would apply if you say f*ggot or any other negative slur.

Thanks a lot! @kmmg_13 @aliyakrushnic @kstew365 good to know. I will be careful, I don't use it tho. I kind of thought it was starting to be more "accepted"

@ErickLeguizamo ErickLeguizamo I wouldn’t recommend saying it unless you are black. I don’t think Hispanics/Latinos can get away well with that word often. People are still offended by the N word to this day because of its definition.

Don’t say the n-word if you are not black. Some people say it because of ignorance, but the word is full of hatred and it can be triggering to people.
