"On the spot" doesn't work with that sentence. Those words together in that order are a common idiom that means "all of a sudden, with no preparation."
For instance: "My boss put me on the spot when he asked for a report on my team's progress. I didn't have any notes with me, and I had to wing it."

Um pouco artificial
I would say something like "chairs where customers can eat what they buy there" -- even though it's not explicitly stating that the chairs are at that location, it's implied from context.
