"Take her with you to the store"
"Lead him to the bathroom"
To take someone somewhere means to have someone with you on a trip. That person goes with you and stays with you.
To lead someone somewhere means to bring someone to where they want to go, or to help someone find a location. Usually when you have lead someone somewhere you don't stay with them.
