1. “Wait for you” 友達や他の知っている人は自分に待ちます。優しいですから、待つことはかまいません。例えば、お手洗いに行ったら、普通に友達は「It’s OK, I’ll wait for you.」などと言います。
2. “Wait on you” レストランで、ウェイトレスはお客さんに応対することは「Wait on 誰か」です。

@Ri-na These are kind of interchangeable, but "wait for" is usually 待つ and "wait on" is usually 仕える。
"I didn't want to wait any longer for Tarquin."
"I spent the summer waiting on tables at the restaurant."
They are also used the other way round.
