A: You can just call them shorts, athletic shorts, sports shorts, training shorts, really any of those -- there's not one set word you need to use. As for those things on the sides, I think "cuts" or "slits" is fine! If you meant other features of the shorts, the waistband is elastic and it has a reflector on the thigh for nighttime activity.

Q: Como é que se diz isto em Inglês (EUA)? there are so many types of boats, I want to know how to express " take a ship to somewhere" in a native way? and where to get on the ship? thank you
A: It depends on where you want to go.

A ship that carries people a short distance on a regular schedule is called a ferry. It serves a function similar to a bus or a taxi. If that’s the case, you should say, “I want to take a ferry to _____,” and fill in the blank with where you want to go.

If you mean to take a ship to an exotic location for pleasure, you are referring to a cruise. You might say “I want to take a cruise in the Caribbean.”

If you mean a longer voyage—across the ocean, for instance—you might need to ask what ships are available in the first place. Passenger ships are less common in the age of airplanes. Booking a plane flight is usually easier than trying to find a ship to take you.

Q: The types of reactors are divided into two main types: column or tower, and can be divided further depending on its shape: Batch type, Tubular type, and Jacket type.
soa natural?
A: As it is, the passage of text is already natural.

This is just my personal opinion, but I would change a few things to make it flow better.

The main thing I found that hampered the flow is when you repeat the same word, in this case type/types.

The first part of the sentence you put,

"The types of reactors are divided into two main types: column or tower..."

The first 'types' is not necessary in this sentence so you can erase this straight away. I would change this sentence to something like this,

"The reactors are split into two main types: column and tower..."

I changed the word 'divided' into 'split' as you use the word 'divided' later on in the sentence and I don't want to repeat it, as you will see later.

The rest of the passage you put,

"...and can be divided further depending on its shape: Batch type, Tubular type, and Jacket type."

Again, you have used the word 'type' far too many times. Unless 'Batch type' is the specific name used you don't need to add the 'type' when you describe the shape, you can just say 'type'. As you already have used 'types' in the first part of the sentence I wouldn't use it at all.

So I would put it as,

"...and these can be further sub-divided depending on its specific shape: Batch, Tubular and Jacket."

I also removed the comma you put after 'Tubular' as it is not necessary when leading on to the last example as you use the word 'and' for this.

I hope this helps a little!

You did very well though, good job! 👍🏼
