A: If you are wondering whether the waiters introduce themselves before taking a customer's order then it depends on the restaurant/ fast food/ coffee establishment. At fast food restaurants and coffee shops the servers have name tags on, so usually they don't have to introduce themselves. At diners the waiters usually introduce themselves even though they wear name tags. At fancy restaurants the waiters will introduce themselves. There are a number of other restaurant categories I didn't include where the waiters/ servers often times do not introduce themselves.
