A: Remote can also just mean "out of the way". Like a remote bar is a bar that not many people go to or maybe they just don't know about it, because it's hidden by other buildings for example. You would never say "distant bar", with the same meaning. Remote park/house/street etc, is again, in a quiet area, not many people, maybe abandoned, not well known.
