It seems to be used to mock groups of people who hold strong views that are opposite to the speaker. It refers to a situation where someone posts something seriously that is so outrageous or extreme that the speaker can't believe they are being serious and would have thought it was a joke made by someone who is mocking that opinion.

For example, imagine a person who doesn't like dubstep and often posts satirical posts making fun of dubstep-lovers by exaggerating their opinions to mock them. This person might then see a post from a dubstep-lover that says something so outrageously stereotypical it looks more like a satirical post, such as "people who like dubstep are actually able to tap into a higher plane of the universe and resonate differently which is why dubstep speaks to them". This opinion is so outrageous that the dubstep-hater might post it in a group of other dubstep-hater and say they were "outjerked" because they couldn't have come up with a joke that was as outrageous and exaggerated as this opinion that the dubstep-lover posted seriously.


It is not a common expression as far as I know. It seems to be a mostly slang term in online communities. The word "jerk" can also have sexual connotations, so if people you are speaking to are also not familiar with the term, it may come across as inappropriate.
